Import and reconcile your bank
Get your bank lines in and matched.

Download a statement from your bank
In your internet banking, export the account's transactions since your last import. Plain reads CSV files from CommBank, Westpac, NAB, ANZ, Bendigo, Suncorp and Macquarie, plus OFX, QFX and QIF files from any bank.
Step 2 of 5
Import it into Plain
Go to Banking → More options → Import statement, choose the account and file, check the preview and select Import transactions.
Step 3 of 5
Accept Plain's matches
For each line, check the suggestion and the evidence. Select Accept match, or Choose another.
Step 4 of 5
Deal with the rest
For lines with no invoice or bill, enter a bill and match it, or note them for your accountant. See Code a bank line to an account.
Step 5 of 5
Check the balance
Run Reports → Bank reconciliation for the statement date. The difference should be zero.
