Check sales tax with the reconciliation report
Make sure your sales tax accounts agree with your sales tax report.
Go to Reports → sales tax reconciliation. It compares the sales tax collected and paid accounts in your ledger with the sales tax on your coded lines for the period. A difference usually means a manual journal posted to a sales tax account, or a line with a missing code.
