Check VAT with the reconciliation report
Make sure your VAT accounts agree with your VAT return.
Go to Reports → VAT reconciliation. It compares the VAT collected and paid accounts in your ledger with the VAT on your coded lines for the period. A difference usually means a manual journal posted to a VAT account, or a line with a missing code.
