Turn on two-step sign-in

Protect your account with a code from an authenticator app.

  1. Install an authenticator app on your phone (for example Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or 1Password).
  2. In Plain, go to Settings → People & access. Under Protect your sign-in, select Set up authenticator.
  3. Scan the QR code with the app.
  4. Enter the six-digit code the app shows, to confirm. The card then shows Enabled.
People & access: Protect your sign-in (2) shows whether your authenticator is set up.

From then on, Plain asks for a code each time you sign in. We recommend it for every owner, admin and payroll administrator.
