Roles and what each can do
Owner, Admin, Accountant, Approver, Payroll administrator, Viewer and Employee.
| Role | Can do |
|---|---|
| Owner | Everything, including billing and approving pay runs |
| Admin | Everything except approving pay runs and owner-only actions |
| Accountant | Accounts, banking, approvals, reports and the ledger; can see payroll |
| Approver | Approval requests, the bills and documents attached to them, and three reports (P&L, aged receivables, aged payables) |
| Payroll administrator | Payroll only: employees, pay runs and approving them |
| Viewer | Read-only accounts, banking and reports; can submit requests. Sees wages only if also given payroll access |
| Employee | Their own details and payslips |
More than one role. Accountant, Approver, Payroll administrator, Viewer and Employee can be combined for one person. Owner and Admin already include everything.
